Nicky Knepp is the Cross Systems Prevention Workgroup Project Coordinator for the EPISCenter. Her roles include the creation of a statewide needs assessment tool for a cross-systems analysis to increase program sustainability, supporting the administration and analysis of a statewide program inventory survey, and developing a coordinated funding strategy that would span across agencies to co-fund evidence-based practices, programs, and policies in Pennsylvania.
Nicky earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, with a minor in Cultural Anthropology, from Millersville University and a master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health and Prevention from the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University. During her graduate program, Nicky worked on a study through the University of Pennsylvania that examined the role between patients and their providers with respect to a patient’s gender identity and sexual orientation. In between her education, Nicky served two years as an AmeriCorps Public Ally where she worked at Planned Parenthood of Delaware teaching reproductive health education to youth in Delaware. She also led a service team that collaborated with community stakeholders to develop an after-school, anti-violence program for youth in a high crime area of Wilmington, Delaware.
