Social Development Strategy (SDS) Cambria County Drug Coalition - February 20, 2018

Date: February 20, 2018

Time: 9:30am- 12:30pm ET

This training is for anyone who has an interest in building protection within their program, organization, or community. Protection is defined as those things that buffer young people from problem behaviors and is organized in a strategy called the Social Development Strategy (SDS).

The Social Development Strategy (SDS) fosters the success and health of young people from before birth through every stage of development. It’s easy to use, easy to remember, and it works! Providing young people with opportunities, skills and recognition strengthens bonds with family, school and community. Strong bonds motivate young people to adopt healthy standards for behavior. This strategy has been tested and proven effective. It is a foundation of Communities That Care operating system. This system is being implemented via the prevention leg of the Cambria county drug coalition.
